What it does have is a freeway: I-43 crosses the village with two exits inside the limits. Away from the freeway the roads are quiet, and one of them, Bradley Road, crosses a bridge posted at 5 tons. Stopped on I-43 between Exit 80 and Exit 82A

A freeway shoulder is the one place in River Hills where waiting is dangerous. Do these in order:

Get as far onto the shoulder as the car will go and put the hazards on. If you can reach a ramp, take it; traffic there is slower than on the mainline.
Call (414) 279-5510. Say northbound or southbound and the last exit number you passed: 80, 82A, or 82B if you have already crossed into Bayside.
Tell the dispatcher whether the car rolls and whether it is all-wheel drive. Either answer can mean a flatbed instead of a wheel-lift.
If there was a collision, call 911 first and wait for the officer. The tow comes after the report; accident towing explains the order.

The Brown Deer Rd Park and Ride is a surface lot on our map. If the car will make it that far, it is a safe place to wait and an easy place to load.

The Bradley Road bridge and getting a truck to the house

West Bradley Road runs about two kilometres across the village and our map marks a bridge on it with a 5-ton limit. A tow truck carrying a vehicle can weigh more than that. If your address is reached over that bridge, say so, and the dispatcher plans an approach that keeps the loaded truck off it.

The rest of the village’s through roads carry no posted limit and no low bridge on our map: Range Line Road, River Road, Dean Road, County Line Road, Pheasant Lane, Spruce Road, Green Tree Road and Fairy Chasm Road. On any of them the house number is what finds you. If the car is at the Lynden Sculpture Garden or the Village Hall, name the building.

How often are you in River Hills, and what does a tow cost?

Rarely, and we would rather say so: one completed job in the 12 months to October 2026, an evening tow that ended in Mequon. The village is inside our service area and priced like anywhere else, $85 hook-up + $4/loaded mile. That is $130 for 10 loaded miles and $200 for 25, day or night.

Where does a towed car go? I see no shops in River Hills.
