Towing in Bayside: from the Exit 82B ramps to the far end of Lake Drive

Bayside covers about six square kilometres at the top of Milwaukee County. Freeway

Broken down on I-43 near Exit 82B

The freeway runs along the west side of Bayside as two separate one-way roadways. Three things get the truck to the right side of it:

Direction: Northbound or southbound. A truck sent to the wrong side has to leave the freeway and come back.
Ramp or mainline: On a ramp, say whether you were getting on or getting off. On the mainline, read the dispatcher the last exit number you passed.
Does it roll?: A car that will not roll, or one with all-wheel drive, is loaded on a flatbed. Say so on the first call and the right truck comes.

Exits 80 and 82A are mapped across the line in River Hills. If you are not sure which village you are in, the exit number settles it.

Where a towed car goes from Bayside

No tow yard or impound lot is on our Bayside map. If an officer ordered the tow, the Bayside Police Department, which shares a building with the Village Hall, can tell you which operator has the car. The honest count: we completed one job in Bayside in the 12 months to October 2026. It was a tow, and the car went to Waukesha. The village is inside our service area; it just does not call often. What does a tow from Bayside cost?

The light-duty rate is $85 hook-up + $4/loaded mile. Measured examples: $130 for a 10-mile tow, $200 for 25 miles, and the same at 2 a.m. as at noon. Where the car is going sets the mileage, so name the destination and the dispatcher gives the figure before the truck leaves.

My car will not start in the Sendik’s or Ogden Center lot. Tow or jump?

If the dash lights dim and the starter clicks, it is probably the battery. A jump-start is $75 within 10 miles of our yard; Bayside is farther than that, so the dispatcher quotes the roadside price for the distance. If the engine cranks and will not run, it needs a tow. No parking structure is mapped in Bayside, so clearance is not an issue.

Say whether the wheels are on gravel, grass or mud and how far the car is from the hard surface. Pulling it back is a winch-out: $110 when it sits about 8 feet off the pavement in mud or snow. A tow afterwards, if the car needs one, is priced separately.
